New Star Trek Trailer Sneak Peek
On the 40th Anniversary, the ship and crew loved by millions is now back and the New Star Trek Trailer tells it all. The director David LaFountaine mentions that they are not trying to reimagine the show, that they are just restoring the show. Mike and Denise Okuda are the visual effects producers for the show and they mention that they want to preserve a lot of the original looks but bring it more into the 20th Century.
Later in the New Star Trek Trailer John Burlingame, a music historian mentions that he never thought the day would come to hear the original music played live again in the exact same arrangement as the first composer wrote it. Greg Smith a conductor of the show said that most of the musicians that are playing the music for the New Star Trek Trailer and were the same musicians from the original Star Trek Movie.
They’ve gone back into the archive and pulled out the original arrangements, they are just using modern digital technology and better microphones. They are definitely being very faithful and coherent with the original music notes played on the original Star Trek because it’s sacred hollow ground. People are amazed at how authentic sounding the music in the New Star Trek Trailer is. This movie is remastered from the original 35mm negative in high definition.
As a Trekie you might say it’s the same Universe viewed from another dimension. They really want to respect all the Star Trek Fans with the new visual effects and high def touch they can only do in Hollywood. Measurements were taken off some of the models found at the Smithsonian and advanced video editing work was done at that point. We really feel that the new New Star Trek Trailer will prepare you for the real movie coming soon and hope it will be a truly unforgetable experience.
Peoples United Bank Review
Peoples United Bank has its main Banking Station in New England and happens to be the biggest regional Bank Conglomerate. The company owns a total of seven banks that have a total of 21 Billion in total assets. Peoples United Bank owns Banks in several states strung out all over the East Coast. The company happens to own a total of seven bank chains with over 250 total locations. Not only that, 77 Supermarket locations which provide banking services to it’s members while they are shopping.
Peoples United Bank was founded in 1842. We found out upon research that they do indeed offer services to small and large businesses as well as non-business people who just want to keep their money in their bank. They also offer financial planning and investor advice to people who need it, as well as sell Life Insurance. The Bank also reinvests some of its profits back into the communities where they operate their branches.
In fact, there is some unique history behind this company worth mentioning. The original mission of Peoples United Bank back in 1842 was to give people who commuted and work within the Bridgeport Area their own savings accounts. This bank was the only one to offer this service at this time. Historically, if you weren’t rich you could never think of opening up a Savings Account. This Bank opened it’s doors right at about six years after the City of Bridgeport received its Charter.
The philosophy behind this was that as a Bank wanting to conduct transparent business within a city hoping to be around long term, they knew that they would have to get the respect and trust of the workers, not just the wealthy business owners. Their long term goals are to keep that old school personal touch and to get what they want by helping other members in the community get what they want.
Folsom State Prison From a Correctional Officers Perspective
Matt Kramer is the warden of Folsom State Prison. He’s been the warden for about 18 months. He was the warden for Jamestown State Prison for about six years before he made his move to Folsom State Prison. Before that we was up at the California Correctional Center at Susanville as a Chief Deputy Warden. Matt Kramer went to school in the Bay Area at the University of San Francisco and majored in Business and Public Administration and from there worked at the State of California.
Officer Miller who is a CO or Correctional Officer at Folsom State Prison gave his thoughts on what it is like to work at a prison. He said that it’s not a job, it’s really an adventure. What he meant is after his six weeks in the training academy, which is now a 16 week regimen, he only learned a glimpse of what he needed to know. You don’t know what you really need to know until you actually put on a CO Uniform and start working there. Some people quit because they can’t handle the stress caused by inmates, but to those who hang in there, it’s a decent paying secure job with lots of benefits.
When people ask Officer Miller what he does for a living, he simply states that he works as a Security Guard in a gated community. We thought this is a good reply since it’s 100% honest, without going into details about what he does for a living. Miller admits however when grilled a little deeper he spills the beans and tells them he actually works inside Folsom State Prison.
Aaron Gorby started his Correctional Officer career at Folsom State Prison at 23 years old and is now 28. He mentioned the hardest part about working in a prison is leaving the details that in many cases leaving lasting mental impressions when he goes home at the end of the day. Matt Kramer mentions that you have to keep an emotional distance from the prisoners and to keep interaction all business at all times. Prisoners will do anything to get the upperhand in a conversation so they are friendly towards them when they deserve it but never friends.
What is Visual Snow
Hello Everyone,
I know of someone with a very rare eye disease called Visual Snow. Visual Snow is a condition that causes blurry vision and vision like watching a TV with nothing playing. You know, those white snow flakes you see a lot. According to our research only 4000 people per month are searching for the word Visual Snow or some variation of it.
But the truth is it’s ruining some peoples lives. It’s a very tough predicament to deal with and a very related disease to Visual Snow is called Macular Degeneration, which can cause complete blindness. So we researched the internet even further and found that there are no Youtube Videos on this subject either. This person, who I would rather have remain confidential for their privacy, is suffering pretty bad from not only Visual Snow, but Macular Degeneration as well.
Last year I went for my annual eye check at the VA. Just out of curiosity I asked my Opthamologist if
they have ever heard of Visual Snow. She didn’t have the faintest clue what I was talking about. So what does this mean? This means that somehow Visual Snow is connected with Macular Degeneration, which over 3 million people in the United States have, not a small number. But currently there is no research at all going on for this disease.
However if you do a search on google for Eye on Vision Foundation, this is one place who has taken up the battle head on against this rare eye disease. The research is supposed to start this month and continue for at least a few years. Once in a while when I wake up I’ll see blurrs and stars and weird objects floating around that don’t exist. But luckily for me at least for now they go away after I splash water on my face or take a walk down the block. Others aren’t so lucky. Hopefully they will find a cure for this eye disease. They have a long road ahead of them, we wish them the best of luck.
